POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Big Data Analytics Engineer will work closely with the product managers and business analysts to create and maintain the big data systems for large scale, high performance, and rock-solid reliability. This is a hands-on position that will require performing system development and maintenance activities for the exciting and dynamic medical fields.

The ideal candidate is an experienced data wrangler who demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving capability, has experience in developing data-driven solutions, enjoys optimizing data systems, and building them from the ground up. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products. Experience in data processing using Scala/Python, and data warehouse application, Scrum methodology, SaaS or cloud software development is desired.

 

SECURITY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Abide by Policies and Procedures
  • Complete all training requirements
  • Read and adhere to privacy and security communications
  • Report actual or suspected privacy, security, or policy violations, and breaches to the Chief Security                         Officer (CSO) and Chief Privacy Officer (CPO)
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining systems that leverage big data and AI/ML technologies
  • Work with the product managers and business analysts in analyzing business requirements and design and           implement database structures and fine tune performance to meet those requirements
  • Work on engineering the Company data platform for scale, performance, and rock-solid reliability
  • Responsible for the development of highly efficient ETL process to process daily/weekly/monthly big data           from various clients
  • Work with engineering and product teams distributed across multiple locations
  • Participate in establishing processes and best practices around development standards, version control,               quality control, deployment, maintenance, and change management
  • Other duties as required by business conditions or as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess knowledge and experience with SQL 
  • Must be familiar with at least one of following programming languages: Python, Java, Scala
  • Must possess experience with Linux
  • Knowledge with MySQL and Hadoop a big plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated and quick-learner
  • 3+ years of work experience in healthcare.

  • Good track-record of successfully building robust systems through full lifecycle following                            repeatable, reliable, and measurable processes.
  • Understanding of healthcare technology and industry and able to make decisions on the best                     technology for Acclivity Health Solutions
  • Good interpersonal (both oral and written) communication skills combined with a                                           successful history of working with different cultures and directly with clients.
  • Proficient in ETL and hands-on experience with popular data ETL tools/languages.
  • Must be able to construct and troubleshoot very complex queries and handling big data                              (Data transfer, import/export, storage, performance, and security).
  • Technical degree (Master of Science, Computer Science or equivalent) strongly desired;                                advanced degree (PhD) preferred.
